I'll let you guys know. My car is still in Portland. I'll ship it down in January with the rest of my move. I'm just getting it all "prepped" before I take it down there.

So my car is still in Seattle, but on its way here soon. One thing that I've noticed is that those license plate brackets for safety check stickers are now legal since the last time I was here. Excellent!

With that, I have a few questions. Hoping someone knows because I can't find any definitive info.
1) Is it legal to put a plate under the bumper as well or is that still illegal?
2) Where do you find the one that will fit safety check AND recon stickers?
3) Is it legal for recon sticker to be on that license plate bracket as well?

Thanks!

Just about any NAPA will have options for under the bumper or next to the license plate for both safety and recon, they're about $15-25 depending on which ones you get.

I saw an Instagram post from Shadetree Motorsports that advertised their brackets for $10! especially awesome if you live in Mililani lol.

and I have my bracket under my bumper (screwed into it) >__< hoping to change that soon. anyway, I believe it doesn't matter how or where you have the bracket, as long as you have the safety check sticker visible on the rear of your car.

correct me if I'm wrong...

Cool, thanks guys! I went to an O'Reilley's and they had a non recon one for $10. They had recon ones there too. Car coming in next week. Can't wait!

Gotta redo the tint and off to recon.

Are there ever any meets that happen in town or always only outside of Honolulu?

They usually do meets on the West Side, or in Kaneohe/Kailua.

Rarely do I see town meet ups.
