05 sti factory hid's, Safety Check

Just a random question. I'm going for a safety next week and I have factory HID's. The last time I tried this, multiple stations failed me saying it was a modification. Is there anyway to prove they are OEM?

I think it says something about the factory HID's in the drivers door jam? I know I saw it somewhere on my car.

I had same issues

I ran into similar issues, but it was my rear lights, they thought it was aftermarket. They look for a specific stamp. But since the wrx's are made in Japan, it doesnt exist (thats what tech said). Luckily there was a guy familiar with subarus and told the guy if vins start with a "j", it was made in Japan, look for "?" on the subaru and it means its oem..... wish I could remember!
