Yes I have aftermarket shift bushings, what you guys are experiencing sounds worse than mine. Sometimes I just sit there longer and play around shifting the gears until it lets me catch reverse.

hmm. odd. i know my 5spd will crunch into 1st if thrown in too fast (same speed engage for diff gears no prob) and reverse will have a hard time going in. but after i let the car roll just a tad bit, seems like the tranny just sucks in R. but if all ur brakes are off and ur car is able to roll freely, hope ur not looking at something major! It's only on a cold start that it is like this, after I drive down the block and try to throw it in reverse it really hasn't been a big deal just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem.

Sorry I don't mean to revive the thread but I fixed the problem. I adjusted the clutch pedal and got rid of a lot of the play and that got it feeling like driving a brand new car lol!!

Behind and above the gas pedal It was a pain in the ***. Needed a 12mm open wrench and some plyers.

*Edit* First I had to loosen the 12mm and then take the bolt out of that Y bracket and gave it a couple turns until it was on its last thread. Put it all back together tightened nut and now I have no trouble throwing it into gear on cold starts.
