it depends on the dealer and how aftermarket friendly they are. if they're not, you may have a bit of trouble getting an O2 sensor fixed. other than that you shouldn't have any problems. in order for them to deny a claim they have to prove that what you changed caused the problem. sounds simple but, you may want to talk with them about it and find out what parts would be void if you do something.
or idea #2 is that you could keep the original parts and put them back on before you go to get the work done. IMO you should only do this if the manufacturer is at fault.

Cat-back exhausts do not void any portion of warranty, except maybe exhaust hangers. Also, absolutely anything that would be replaced as normal maintenance, i.e. brake pads, air filters, tranny oil, etc., can not void your warranty UNLESS the dealer is providing the OEM equivalent for free. If you know any dealers doing this, let me know!

I have a mild steel Strommung that (amazingly) has lasted for three years now, and a 2.25 midpipe. I plan to replace this with SS Strommung when it finally rusts through. I love the sound and it's not too loud in the cab (although a little embarassing since I'm 25 now and have to drive clients around sometimes), but some people have told me it is way loud outside. Pretty quiet at idle though.
I like the quality of the Strommung except that the little plastic rings around the base of the exhaust tips melted the first time I drove with it. I don't think the newer exhausts have these anyway. I would definitely reccomend.

I just got in a Tanabe Super Racing Medallion Catback exhaust system in the mail today. I will be putting it on Monday. It is definately way lighter than the stock exhaust. The total weight is less then 44lbs!. Completely stainless steel. I purchased it from www.afsmotorsports.com for $475 (no tax and free shipping). It came with a silencer and gaskets and all the necessary installation components (i.e. screws). Shipping from these guys is lightning quick. From what I hear decent power gains and very deep throaty loud exhaust. If you don't want to be heard then this ones not for you. I'll post my findings as soon as I get it on.

Well the Tanabe super Racing Medallion Cat-back Exhaust is better then I thought! I'm extremely happy with it. Took no time to install. 20 minutes to take the old one off and 20 to put the Tanabe on. Perfect fit with no additional anything needed. Not nearly as loud as I was worried it would be. I can feel the horsepower gains and the sound is heaven! Nothing like those Honda Civics that have big tip exhausts on them. Very deep throaty sounding exhaust as stated before. Comparable to.... I don't know a very nice sports car. Very happy with it. Next is a high flow cat, and borla headers. Will need to save up some money though. I'll post pics in a freshly started N/A category. Take care.

i dont know what to recommend yet. i am having that problem now. i need a replacement header, and dont have a ton of money to throw at it.
i have only been to two auto-x's on the new gen 4 header. it happened on the street, i was pulling out of a road, and the road was a little bumpy, so throttle lifted and pegged a bit, then the wheels hooked back up and the motor just torqued and instantly i heard the difference.

Hey BAN, where do you find them for $280 shipped? Let me know. That way I can save up and get them fairly quickly. Thanks.
