Question about the 2.5 blocks

Hey guys, Quick question. Are there any differences between the 2.5l in the STI and the one in the forester,Outback,Baja, or Legacy??? It looks like there the same to me, I was curious as to if there were any specific changes they might of made for the other cars.

the block is exactly the same in all 3 models. the differnce is in some of the internals. I've yet to cross reference all of the part numbers but so far my buddy at subaru has confirmed that the blocks are the same. If you're looking to piece together an engine, you could save a few bucks and work with a Legacy or Forester instead.....

The price of an EJ257 shortblock is the same. Same with turbo longblocks.
