My engine

So I got a rod nock on my engine for the second time, f warranty, I decided to either do it my self or have a subaru shop do it, not a dealer subaru. What's the best thing I should do guys? Me or a shop? And what's the best mods to do to get almost 450hp, and if you guys know a excellent shop?

As de_engineered said, 450hp is A **** TON oh hp. Unless you have DEEP pockets I would not recommend shooting for that much. As for a shop that can take care of you check the vendor list here on i-club. I am sure if you talk to them about what you want from your car thy will be able to help you out.

I am running 512hp on my rotated setup. To make 450 you will need to upgrade all your fuelling, ie injectors, fuel pump , fuel rails. Then you need to build your motor with forged internals which are not cheap. I suggest getting a shop to do the motor unless your a pro. There's a lot of machine work that needs to be done so having a shop do it they can just send all the machine work out. I just did my own motor and I had a hell of a time because of special tools and other random stuff. I got it done but took me a bit. If your not in a rush do it yourself but if you R take it to shop. They should warranty your new motor too if you get a shop to do it. I suggest staying at stock power. You will lose reliability once you do what I did lol. I am broke

I had a similar problem last year so I ended up buying a JDM engine.
