deleted intank filter on sti
disclosure-if you blow your car up or burn it to the ground while messing with its fuel supply, well lets just say dont come crying to me.aslo,im not the first person to do this nor willi be the last.it is working great for me.
well with E85 useage coming closer i decided that making it easier to change fuel filters would be smart.plus a stainless filter that flows more than stock yet filters better is a plus.
im not going to list how to R&R a fuel pump, that should be known by now.over all its pretty simple.
i deleted the intank filter and replaced it with a solide piece of 5/16" fuel line(SAME AS WHAT COMES WITH THE PUMP)
i used a small piece of hose to lift/space the pump up since the stock filter did that.simply wrap a zip tie or hose clamp around it and your down with this part.
after that it gets even easier.simple remove the clamps holding the fuel dampener in place.using 2 new hose clamps replace the dampener with the golan filter.check for leaks and enjoy easy fuel filter changes.

You really shouldn't use those type of hose clamps (at least not for fuel) because the open parts will cut into the hose eventually. You should get some t-bolt type clamps like the ones on the other regulator in your picture. Just my $0.02..

the hose clamps are fine for this.the hose is plenty thick enough.if it was a silicone hose i would worry.ive double and triple checked to make sure im not chewing the hose up.i have this same setup from the trd s/c setup i did on my tacoma 3 years ago.installed it once and never touched it again.i do plan on converting to a full AN setup soon.
its the 5/16th barbed ends.the whole thing was super easy and is just a much better option all around.

I had to repair a leak on my perrin fuel rails and used a clamp just like your using and it eventually cut through the hose and started spraying fuel right next to my turbo. I went to t-bolt clamps (also known as fuel hose clamps to the guys at napa, lol) and haven't had a problem since. The t-bolts clamp equally all around and have no open spaces for the hose to expand into.

Yea, I actually picked them up from my local napa and thy weren't very expensive. My local napa (Brentwood) is the best napa I have ever been to and I will not go to any other parts store. They call them fuel line clamps but they are tbolt. Plus they look badass too.
