Clutch replacement

So I bought the car with a new factory clutch installed, but this was my first manual car so in the process of learning I might have burnt it out. The car doesn't have any real problems that I'm aware of, but when I'm stuck on an incline, I notice the burning clutch smell at exactly 3000rpm. Is this normal, or should I be buying a new clutch?

And if I do need a new clutch, does anyone have any suggestions as to which company would be best? I've been told it's best to use an organic pad versus a pucked disk. Comfort vs control I guess.

Do the RPM's jump without the car accelerating in that situation?
