what is the most whp that can be made on 91 octane?
i am wondering what the most whp that can be made on 91 octane gas? it does not matter what engine displacement or turbo. the best i have seen is 310, any thoughts?
Engine displacement and turbo most certainly do matter. the upper limit on a stock WRX motor with a VF30/34 is around 255 whp. VF22s can make a little more than that.
I think it's TurboXS who netted almost 400whp on 91 octane... if not that much, then they definitely did over 300whp. Could have been on an 18G or a Green.
We made 325whp on a Dynojet awd with the shop car on 91 octane several times using a stock engined car with a GT30r turbo, I would post the sheets but I can only find one of 3 and is was a very old one showing 315whp.
About 10.6:1 from 4k to 6k then leaning out a little to 11:1 at 7k seemed to make the best numbers torque wise. At redline the car is making 300whp and 230wtq.
