Uppipe...

This is relatively simple question, but i am a relatively not familiar with wrx yet. I went into an exhaust shop that sponsors a club im in and they are gonna do a custom exhaust for me. I asked if they can do uppipes and they said that they have had a lot of trouble with wrx uppipes and leaks and all that stuff. He told me if i really wanted them to do it, i need to do my research on what brand to get so they can successfully show a full exhaust wrx with no problems. Now this is where some of you come in, , i have heard that people who experience that problem are ones who don't get the flex uppipes, so if i were to get a flex uppipe would i be fine? I was thinking about the erz uppipe, does anyone have experience with that?

DC sports in awesome and a good price.

My concern is your custom exhaust. I bring this up because I had a custom exhaust made for my car by shop who said they knew what they were doing and it was a $750 waste. If you are planning to make more than 300hp I would really check into the quality and work done by the shop. Don't just take the dudes word for it like I did. Ask to see some other work they have done to make sure you are not getting some two bit hack job that you are going to have to replace down the line. Nothing hurts more that paying for an expensive part twice. Trust me I know

I have a STI upipe and I am very happy with it but it is more expensive than the Helix and I doubt it is any better.

I'm no expert but I agree with excessive about the custom exhaust, IMO you would be better off at least buying a DP that was designed for your car.
