Gauges, tires, brakes are KEY!
Congrats on your purchase, and welcome to the world of forced induction!
My suggestion if you have the money would be to invest in what my subject title says: "Gauges, Tires, and Brakes"... I think people often make the mistake of trying to go faster without thinking about stopping and turning. Also don't make the same mistake I did and blow your engine up, cause you don't have the proper gauges and warning instraments.
So that's ~B's 3cents...
Thanks ~B

My car has the optional boost gauge on it. I know about the 1000 mile break in period. I am waiting until the spring to make any performance mods. For now im going to stick with items that will make my car last longer, like a turbo timer, and get some tires. I dont know about brakes since they are too expensive for my budget just yet. Any other reccomendations?

Get the TurboXS setup, you won't be disappointed. The computer itself has a lot of safegaurds built in - including closed loop boost control which almost negates the need for the boost gauge. An EGT gauge at some point would be recommended. As for brakes, start out with some performance pads like EBCs - good bang for the buck. Falken Azenis tires are a great buy, but if you live somewhere where it snows wait until next spring.

Congrats on the upgrade.
The order that i went was this: silencer mod and new airfilter, intercooler hoses and splitter, then rear sway bar, shifter bushings, and solid end links, then turboxs unichip, and my most recent upgrade was a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S.
Performance wise the TurboXS Unichip obvously made the most improvement but the set of Michelins really helped put the power to the road. I highly recommend these tires. They're a little pricey (I got a deal @ $175/per installed), but well worth it. I really felt a big improvement in acceleration as well as a big improvement in braking. They are just all around awesome. The best of all the worlds (dry, wet, and snow).
Hope that helps, goodluck.

After the break in spend some lut and put a SPO/AVO Stage One on it. Its the best for it money and no problems with cel's(hahahahaha) and other ****. It works great with the turbo back exhaust and boost controller. Just my thought cause i have it and no prob's here... Congrats on the REX...........................

First Mods
Nice work on gettin a suby, you won't regret it!
My first mod was a set of volk gram lights and some bridgestone S03 pole position tires. They are the greatest tires I have ever driven on and make a world of difference in handling and getting the power to the road. I just ordered a HKS SSQV so I can make that cool psssssshhhhhhht noise and then I'm goona get probably a HKS carbon ti exhaust with a downpipe. (By the way, I also got the factory option boost guage and the sub w/ amp). Good luck on modding your stuff and if anyone has any help for me on where to go next, I'd love to hear it. Thanks a lot.
