oem boost controller wont boost past 10 psi

hey yall im new to this site......and this is my first post....i just hooked up my stock boost controller after not using it for over a year.....i sold my electronic boost controller to buy a utec in a week...but for now...my stock solonoid dosent boost past 10 psi. i tried resetting the comp. what could it be?

Ive ran across this too, and has to do with hooking stock hoses back up proper and using the original restrictor. If you get the two hoses backwards, you only get wastegate pressure which is about 8 psi. Give or take.

Do a search. Someone put up some good directions on how to hook it back up to stock. Good luck.

Sounds like its just running off the wategate setting.Maybe the factory ebc is screwed up.

if the factory ebc is faulty...then it would throw a cel right?

Check the restrictor in the hose from the wastegate to the intake...if it's missing you never boost higher to 10 psi...i resolve the problem when i purchase a new hose with the correct restrictor on...

the restrictor is part 22326 . it is a TINY little metal bead inside of the boost line ON THE COMPRESSOR SIDE. hope that helps.. had the same prob..

i think i am having the same problem is you. i put a mbc on a stock 05 wrx and then took it off and put it back to stock and now i cant boost past 10 psi. do you sugest that i look into that restrictor inside that hose? where is that hose located?

if you take off that hose could you look through it and see if it is still there or not?
