well, yesterday i installed a helix up pipe in my rex, and it was the some of the most grueling 11 hours of my life, what a pain in the ***!!! anyways, i put it on, and go out for a test drive and under partial throttle/boost, its great, definatly feel a difference, but under full boost/throttle, i get like a wurring sound, now is that a leak or what?? i've searched and all that has been said was like a high pitched whistle or something is a leak, but this is like a medium pitched wurring, doesnt really sound like it could be one, but i'd just like to know your guy's(girls) thoughts on this one just to be safe.
took the car to redline on the way home from work tonight, and it seemed to get quieter past about 6000 rpms, so i'm guessing now its a leak. so would that put it as a leak from the turbo-uppipe or from the uppipe to exhaust manifold? cause i would think that if it is after the turbo, it wouldnt make that sound, or would it?
i dont have a boost gauge unfortunatly but that would be a surefire way to tell? and do you think it would hurt to just tighten up things again just to be safe?
