Max boost to load a VF 37 turbo
Hey every1.
I have recently installed a manual boost controller and set boost at 1.1 bar (16 psi).
Any idea what is the maximum safety boost i can load my turbo with given the set up i am running?
Appreciating all sorts of reliable inputs.

Please look into tuning and tuning setups; a MBC is the equivalent of a sledgehammer, and you want to use tweezers here. That turbo can probably take 40 to 60 PSI before IT fails, but your cylinders/ringlands/pistons are the fail points you need to be worried about.

Thanks all.
Yes meilers I am aware of that. Anyhow I am running an entire stock block of these assembly. All mods I have r the ones included in the vehicle's specs attached.
Wt do u think based on these specs and this turbo would be a safe ceiling boost?
Thanks again for the feedback.

You are 100% correct.
No it is an HKS turbo back, silent.
I have posted a thread inquiring about a knock sound that I hear when I accelerate from 60 Mph. As although I have set the MBC on 1.2 Bar, I could note its reaching 1.3 & 1.4 when accelerating from 60 Mph accompanied with a knock sound (that's 18.8-20.3 PSI, which it shouldn't hit up to there but no idea what's happening).

If you tune for it, you can crank it up as high as the factory map sensor will read (around 24 psi). It won't hold that very long, and boost will taper down to 15 ish psi, but it can be tuned for that. Completely stock, I'm not so sure. My version 8 stock ROM was only used as a starting point and never actually used stock.
MBCs will spike a little, then clamp down on boost, so you have to account for that too. I wouldn't take any pre-marked readings as gospel. If it's holding boost too high and you're hearing knock, then turn it down. Knock can be detrimental well before you start hearing it.
