You just want sound?

Get an aftermarket valve that vents to the atmosphere.
I have concerns about just disconnecting the factory hoses. Your car may not run right...

hahah yep i agree, just shell out the money for an aftermarket bov rather then disconnecting hoses so it sounds "cool", whats a couple hundred compared to what may happen if disconnecting that hose does something else rather then make the hissing sound lol....

An aftermarket BOV isn't that expensive......don't rig your car just to try to get some sound

Oh ya, you do know that aftermarket BOVs wont give any performance gains right? They arent useful at all until u really really mod your car. But if you want to get the BOV anyways, id suggest getting one that can recirculate. The GFB hybrid (50/50) is good. I run the GFB Stealth FX which allows you to have more adjustment options (also lets you control how loud you want your BOV). I am currently running that and i love it. Contact 'auwrx' if you are interested, he gives the best deal around for that. I also hear that WORX makes an adjustable BOV too that works great so you might want to check that out.

mike626 - Mike, thanks for the props bud! Alex asked me to change my screen name for the vendor section so it would be easier to identify vendors. So I am no longer auwrx but now Flash N Dash!

Either one of the GFB BOVs are super great to get the effect you are going for. Mike is running the Stealth and I am running the Hybrid which is 50/50 or 100% to atmos. I have been running the 100% atmos for 2 yrs now without a single problem. And it is so cool to go flying by someone and let out the "WHOOSH" sound and totally scare the crap out of people. A great head turner!

If you are interested in one of these BOVs then please feel free to check out my thread or shoot me an email or PM and I will hook you up on them!

Thanks,
Brian

Daredevil - Read a couple posts up! It is me bud! I am one in the same! lol

Alex (Mod) asked me to change from auwrx to Flash N Dash so it would be less confusing to identify a vendor on here.

So glad to hear that you are still a satisfied customer! Let me know if you ever need anything!

Thanks,
Brian
