Adjusting TD04 Wastegate

Adjusting TD04 Wastegate
i have heard you can adjust the wastegate ona td04 so it will only push 6-7 PSI.
does anyone on here know how to do this? if so can you please tell me. i have done no work with turbos, and want the smallest amount of boost out of the td04.
Thanks for the help.

most peple only adjust the arm with the intentions of decreasing wastegate flutter experienced after losing some backpressure from the installation of aftermarket downpipes. if you over tighten then it will have boost spikes, dont know, but you could try twisting it in the opposite direction to tightening, but i really dont belive that that would be a good thing to do. search scoobymods.com for wastegate arm and you will find the thread with pics... if you have an accessport you could run the economy mode map which is supposed to limit boost.

i ran 7-8psi on my EJ18 and then an EJ22E and it drove fine all day.
the only reason wrx's run 1bar is because the have boost controllers built in the the car.
if you completely connect the wastegate to a vacuum source it will only run somewhere between 6-8psi on a td04l

yes, direct connection to the compressor housing wont throw much boost.
i was using 370 injectors with an APEX'i S-AFC and a 4bar dodge daytona turbo Fuel Pressure Regulator (free out of a junkyard)
I have an Split Second Timing Map Controller -01, but i never really used it.

220cc/min ej22 injectors
360cc/min ej22t injectors (probably will use)
XXXcc/min nissan 300ZX Turbo injectors (havent been able to find out what these flow, but its alot ie 600+cc/min)

im running a wrx fuel pump, i was on the legacy turbo 370's. i got a little fuel cut between 4-5Krpm, but with the 4bar FPR, it went away.
I also ran STi 550's but they eventually started failing (staying stuck open) do to using stock managment.
but thats chaning soon.... muahhahaha
im proby going microtech, putting the 550's back in after that.

any aftermarket adjustable fpr that you can find for a subaru should be adjustable up to that rate though.
