02 WRX 5MT - clutch won't release, then recovers
<just lost a long post and nearing 1am 
when laptop batt died>
cliff notes: 122K mi., Car sat 2 days after driving fine, great shifting actually. Started it and shifter won't go into gear, reverse grinds. Pretty sure clutch is not disengaging. Fluid level is OK, unsure of last bleed. 35K hiway miles on Exedy OEM unit. Found a ride to work.
Research indicates air in clutch slave or TOB issue. Was to try the 100 pumps to see if it helped. If still borked, would have vac bled the S/C. No garage/tools/time for this ish.
After work, I first try to just row through the gears with engine off - feels fine. Start it and can easily get into 1st and reverse and roll a few feet. It sounds different now (quiet) with clutch in/out in neutral; used to whine a tad with engagement in N. Shut it off and came inside.
Poll: Is this a one time thing (due to temps, way I left shifter when parking, color of my eyes)? Is it a TOB dying and the off-power rowing jarred it loose? If it drives OK, am I safe for at least a little while? I can't find anyone else that's had this happen this way. Halp.
