Someone needs to get this going.
I will do everything that I can to support whomever spearheads this event; the event is more important than the person that organizes it.

I have not been to any previous BAM events. But after picking up my wagon last October, I was very much looking forward to making it out to BAM X this year. Seeing that no one has volunteered to take the reigns on this event, I would certainly like to spearhead the event production/organization. I would have to collaborate big time with the SUBY Shops and BAIC to nail down target dates and ideas on how to make this event what the BAIC really wants.
SO with that in mind, we'd need to get started on the following points:
a. Date
b. Locale
c. Sponsorship Opportunities
d. Vendor/Exhibit Opportunities
e. Schwag
f. Catering/food options (depends on locale; if outdoors bbq or indoors we bring in food vendors?? BOOZE?)
g. Event happenings i.e. I-Club car show, DJ/Band opportunities, SUBY Awards, photo shoot opp, i-club drive around SF??
Vendors/BAIC members feel free to pm me with your contact info and we get the ball rolling.

you don't want to sell alcohol and it will probably be best to have people cook the food since have it catered would make it cost more than before and i doubt you want to deal with that backlash.

However, depending on the event locale, we might be able to have food vendors come in and sell food. i.e. if we had the event at a place like the Herbst Pavilion at the Fort Mason Center in SF, we can sell food booths to food vendors. That way, we wouldn't have to worry about cooking.
Like I said, it's gonna take a lot of feedback and suggestions from everyone as to what kind of event they'd like to have. Outdoors, Indoors, BBQ, Carshow Style event???

Yeah, never mix alcohol with a car event. With events as big as BAM, people are going to try to inflate their egos and show off, we don't need alcohol influencing these people. Hell, otherwise I'd be brewing up some batches of BAM Beer. Wait, that name is already taken, damnit!
