Looks like they'll have an even bigger budget for each episode than they ever did with the BBC. Sounds pretty good to me.

oh wow. My main worry is if they will still get the same support from manufacturers/teams as they did in the BBC.

I don't see why they wouldn't.

At $6.9 million per episode, can they buy the P1, LaFerrari, and the 918 to test now?

Won't matter...I think either EVO or XCAR secured all 3 cars (privately owned) to do a comparative test, but LaFerrari owner had to bow out last minute because Ferrari HQ disallowed it. Not sure what they held to his head (or wrote into the title) to have such outright control over something that an individual bought/owns. I wish Subaru did this with HellaFlush/Stance people

There is an old Chris Harris Jalopnik article describing how Ferrari apparently refuses non-prep/off-the-street testing of their cars. Period. End of story. Something about any Ferrari ever tested always being "ringers" (press or personal) specifically calibrated to the testing location and conditions.

Watched the first episode of the new top gear with chris evans......and I can say I do not like him as a host. He sucks......

They were trying wayyyy to hard to be funny and even tried to throw in a few jokes to poke fun of Jeremy, James, and Richard. I was not impressed with this episode and I think I'll wait for the new amazon top gear.

The biggest complaint was that Evans was always shouting. His voice is annoying though.

Evans had too much energy. I didn't like his eyewear the whole time.

Who's the guy that James is talking to at the beginning of this clip?

He seems like he would be a good host. He even wears decent glasses.

Who's the ****** that's on the new show?

I also didn't like the new studio. It's like they put money into it.

I miss the news.

Matt Leblanc was pretty good. I was getting worried when he was introduced. But his Nomad piece was good. The "Challenge" was kind of lame. His energy seemed low. But it might have been perfect and only seemed low because Chris' was so retardedly high.

They made the whole show about Chris, a lot of people have left because of him already.
