That's like the last 15 years for me on the subject.
Again, relative. Tog Gear is just as much about cars as, let's say, NFL is about actual game play or athletics...what's the latest statistics? 17 minutes of play per 4-5 hour broadcast? Played by guys with enough criminal offenses to rival most gangs? And yet you are an avid watcher...

Anyway, whatever floats your boat homie

I know, that's what I mean. I gotta play my part. I can't change it up now to be sympathetic!

Clarkson is gone, what more could anyone want?

I don't think jail time helps, BBC probably just wants to move on now.

Well, to be fair, James May and Richard Hammond was a nobody before Top Gear.

Pretty much my first thought...unless they are a big deal across the pond and we just don't know it?

Except Top Gear was also a relatively unknown show at the time, unlike the 11nthbillion$$$$!!! worldwide household name it is today. So would it be not more fitting to actually get some known intellectual properties witn international credentials to continue the gravy train?

Don't get me wrong, for all I know those 3 might be a decent lot...but it might be a big gamble handing the show over to them

Nope.

I'm just going to watch THIS topgear. And when in 6-8 years everyone else jumps on board, they will call me a hipster, yet, they are the ones jumping on bandwagons.

Anyways... a Clarkson-less TopGear is definitely worth watching!
