You damn right! My only regret is I didn't get a new rear bumper while I was at it...
btw some PDR dude ended up removing all 20 or so of my dents magically and they didn't pop back in or anything - unfortunately then some guy decided to scrape my car with his

Today at AutoHQ:
Kevin finished the head gasket replacement on the S2000.
Sam started removing the dash from the 2.5 RS.
We did a little more work on the VW G60.
Sealed the deal on some sponsorships.
Tried out some stickers around the shop. Let us know what you guys think.
Later folks!

The ones our customers will get will hopefully (if we can afford it) be a little different. We want the windshield banners to have a solid background, perhaps black or a nice looking grey, but to be made out of the perforated material that you see clearly out of from the inside of the car (like guys driving trucks with their whole back windows covered). This kind of sticker would be more expensive for us to make, but also a lot nicer, and easier to apply. It will give you some shade in the car, look solid from the outside, and not block visibility up top from the inside.
I should get prices tonight or in the morning. If we afford it, we are gonna get some really nice stickers. We only want customers to put really nice things on or in their cars.
Also, we are hoping to provide some color options--Red and black lettering, WRB and black letters, or--yes, with you in mind Bryan--Cherry blossom red and black lettering!
Yeah baby, go STI! All will have a white boarder on the letters to improve visibility.
Anyhow, more to come.

So, concerning Kevin's g/f's new Smart car. Is Keven going to figure out how to mount up a vf39 or vf43 turbo?
If not, what about a Hayabusa engine swap. Or maybe Auto Hq should be the first shop in the bay area to mod Smart car's. Do you know what kind of a following you guys would get?
Here are some videos:

I see Kevin buying a Smart car in the future!

Today at AutoHQ (7-24-08):
Continued to strip the 2.5 RS, soon to be STI conversion.
30K on an 06 STI
I finally got caught on the other end of the camera, and I'm told that I look too serious in this picture. But I can't help it; I am serious.
Later that day, Kevin decided that pretending to fight Sam's car was a good idea. But Sam just decided to back up faster, and my camera couldn't take another photo fast enough to keep up with the action.
In the pictures below, you will notice something we've seen twice now this week:
Simple air filter (one stock, and one SPT) installed by someone else incorrectly, and then the dirty MAF sensor pictures (one side clean and one side dirty), just to illustrate all the dust sucked into the intake from inside the engine bay. Of course we cleaned the MAF sensors and installed the filters correctly.
Well, until we meet again...
