SJ played them 4 times this year and only took one game.
0-3-1 (shoot out)
Buuuuut, when Niemi is on his game and the offense is firing, the Sharks are arguably the best team in hockey. When either of those two variables are absent, well.... lets not consider that option.

Not if you consider this season alone.

Watching Vancouver over the playoffs they seem a lot weaker than the Sharks, they have a great offense (usually) and a weak defense with a decent goalie. The Sedin's arent playing well and I hope the Sharks capitalize on this. The regular season is a whole other game then the play offs, just look at the success rate of all the teams who've won the Presidents cup.
We should beat them assuming the Sharks dont buckle under the pressure, we're a more well rounded team when playing on our game.

I am nervous about this series. The last 4 games have shown that the Sharks are not running on all their cylendars yet. If it weren't for Neimi bringing his game together at the right time, I think the Sharks would be playing golf right now.
Marleau is the biggest crutch right now for the Sharks. We depend on him to get more goals in the net and set up more scoring chances. Also, he is a great 2 way player, but I am not seeing that right now either, taken into account that he is +1 for the playoffs so far. Pavelski is playing well, but I have been expecting more out of him. Same goes for Heatley. I know for sure heater can play better than he is.
With that, I got to give props to Clowe, Neimi, Thornton, Boyle, Seto, Couture, and Wellwood for bringing it when it matters the most.

Versus commentator- "Theres been a lot of talk about Thornton cheating, so we'll have to keep an eye on that".
WTF?
...am I missing something other than VS needing to have their fat lips be on the Canucks tip?

In my opinion that was really poor officiating and I think Vancouver got some lucky power plays, which ultimately led to them winning in the third period. Sharks need to stay out of the box and Vancouver needs to stop embellishing penalties.

Agreed on the first part, but the penalty on heater for elbowing is BS because Torres ran into his arm. It was simply the fact that the sharks were outskated and were stagnant in the third which let the Canucks walk into the slot and score.
