Sharks Thread
Didn't see an official sharks thread so I decided to put one up.
Sharks sign Antti Niemi from the Blackhawks for most likely a 1 year $2m deal. I guess Tom Greiss isn't going to get much playing time now.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- San Jose Sharks CEO Greg Jamison is stepping down from his job running the day-to-day operations of the club.
The team announced Wednesday that Jamison's last day as CEO will be Oct. 1. A search for a replacement will begin soon. Jamison will remain part of the ownership and will be the team's representative on the NHL's Board of Governors.
The 60-year-old Jamison took over as president of the team in 1996. In 13 seasons, the team has made the playoffs 11 times, made it to the Western Conference finals twice and won the Presidents' Trophy in 2009 for the best record in the regular season.
Jamison also hired Doug Wilson as general manager. Wilson has put together a perennial contender, including last year's team that lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference finals.

I dunno about this move. It could be the cup winning move we need or another depressing season. It could be a disastrous season where we don't make the playoffs with niemi, but I'm not counting on it. We need defense thats for sure, but to have 3 goalies fighting to be a starter is a waste.
I vote to change the title of this thread as well.
HOCKEY! HOCKEY! HOCKEY! '10/'11 SEASON GREEN MAN WAFFLE

I'm willing to bet that we'll be using one of the goalies as trade bait soon. We can't reply on the D we have right now.
BTW, if anyone is looking for tickets, i have season tickets that I'll be selling some games. If someone is interested in the preseason games, i can make a deal for all three.

Seats 11,12 ( I think) Aisle seats.

Stalock is the other. DO not think we will see him this year for sure.
And also, Neimi is a good pickup. The playoff experience alone is great. That is invaluable. Also the fact that the Sharks signed him for one year is great. He will have more of a reason to play harder because I am sure he is going to want a bigger paycheck with some team after this upcoming season.
