Good to hear y'all were able to find the goods this wknd.
Like ya mentioned, kmurphy... mos def have to be weary of what's just below, esp since lotsa spots have been VERY thin & bare for most of the season.
That said, any Heavenly or Kirkwood passholders out there wanna shred on Wed? I scored a ticket off craigslist good for either resort. It's been burning a hole in my wallet for a month.
If Sierra had more terrain open, I wouldn't mind using my Snowbomb voucher. But I think I'll sit on it a couple more weeks in hopes that they're able to open up more w/ these colder temps for snowmaking as well as the next round of storms late next week.

Nice. Hope your volcom suit wasn't burstin' after you chugged down that tasty brew.
Slopes are looking to be in decent shape. This last system brought a bit more accumulation than expected.
I'm considering shredding Heavenly tmrw or Fri. Tmrw's forecast calls for much stronger winds than the very light breezes expected Fri.
But Fri is 4 days after the last dusting from yesterday while tmrw is just a couple days removed.
What to do... what to do...
Btw, I've always parked behind the casinos & trekked over to the gondola. Any regulars out there know if that's still cool? Or have the hotel properties gotten stricter on parking?

We stayed at Harrahs and tho it sucks trying to find non valet parking in the lot during a busy weekend i dont think youll get towed. Theres no enforcement. The subie claimed the closest spot to the casino enterance for a good 4 days
The beer was delicious and yes the suit surprisingly didnt nutty professor up on me.
That suit is like my only motivation to lose weight. Soooo undeniably comfortable, especially when the snow is DUMPING!
Its got LET IT STORM stitched into the sleeve lol.
Plus $$$$$.

I'm doing a day trip to Heavenly or Kirkwood this Friday, March 6th. Any Tahoe Local/Epic passholders out there wanna roll?
I gotta use my pre-purchased ticket asap cuz I'm quickly running outta opportunities.

Nice score of the new deck, Jeff. I stopped into REI in Concord on Sat, and they had a couple decent boards in their monthly used gear sale.
Last Fri, I opted to shred Kirkwood instead of Heavenly. Although not the coverage I'm accustomed to seeing, the slopes were in decent shape. The groomers were a blast while the only off-piste goodies were areas that saw a lot of sun throughout the day. I bet they were killer a week ago as the last bit of snow was dusting the resorts.
Even with the shallow base and limited terrain available, our mountain playgrounds should have sweet spring shredding for the next month!
Oh, and for the Bear Valley annual trip, here's a deal for us non-passholders who might be considering also riding on Fri, March 27th:
$40 Sierra Avalanche Center Ski/Ride day
Not sure if I'll be riding Fri. But on Sat, I'll need to depend on the passholder buddy discount ticket if they still offer that. On Sun, I'll be using my Snowbomb voucher.... FINALLY!
