Recommend a shop for alarm install?
Can anyone recommend a good shop to get a car alarm/remote start system installed at? I want someone that will take the time to get things done right and solder in the connections not just tapping/splicing then taping them up. Preferably around the Vacaville area, but will travel if need be. TIA!

Out of curiosity, why don't you want them spliced/crimped/heat-shrinked? I am assuming you are just planning to have it be one-and-done job without future alterations?
That said, I will ask my girlfriend's dad where he gets his work done since he lives around that area.

Well if spliced properly then that's fine I guess. With some stuff like this I tend to prefer a soldered job. But so long as it's not just twisted and taped up looking half assed I'm alright. I have zero experience installing an alarm, but work with wiring diagrams a lot at work. I just don't have the time to do it right now.

Do you already have the alarm? If not I'd have the installer get one for you.
Honestly - I think car alarms are a waste of money. It's not like having the alarm go off draws anyone's attention anymore.
I'd probably invest in a LoJack instead

LoJack has a instant setup now. Basically if someone moves the car without a keychain transponder inside it triggers an alert
A buddy of mine had it. His car was stolen and he recovered it 20 min later... outside a chop shop.
