Is that his brother? because they never talked about his mom.... so what if his dad and his mom split up, separating takumi from his brother. turns out, his mom is a professional race car driver as well, training his sibling into perfection. they just look similar so i cooked up a story in my head while i was taking my night cap.

Because many anime video streaming sites apparently put 20 episodes for Fifth Stage, with placeholder page for episodes not yet aired. People take that as the total number of episodes when in fact no one knows any better.
As far as we know, 14 is the end of Fifth Stage, but not the end of Initial D of course. One thing we are sure though, there are no new episodes next month because Perfect Choice already published June's broadcast schedule and there is NO 15 & 16. And July will be the same most likely.
