I think this is exhibit #1 for why the BRZ does NOT need more horsepower. Every one of those inter web studs is unable to handle that much power in a rear wheel drive vehicle.

The car was apparently a brand new acquisition for his "race team" AE.
This is essentially the same car that Leno crashed on the track at 200+ MPH and lived...
One of these wrecked a block from my work. Basically these cars aren't easy to drive unless you've spent some time behind the wheel, and a high HP car like this one isn't really good at going slow IMO. No matter how many hours of driving a person has, if you don't know what the CAR will and WON'T do; it can very easily go wrong quickly when you're going too fast. That is not the car's fault or the manufacturer's fault. What they were doing shouldn't have been done on the street and it is very sad. Kind of doesn't matter how or why it happened now because both of them lost their lives.
I didn't even like the F&F movies really, but he was in a lot of stuff; just best known for those movies. I thought he was pretty decent in Flags of Our Fathers.
RIP Roger and RIP Paul.

Also, I think the location of the gas tank might have contributed to the fire, in Paul Walker's crash. If I remember correctly, the fuel tank is mounted upright, and directly behind the two seats.

Even with the power the BRZ has you can still end up in a horrific accident. It comes down to how you drive the car. Remember the BRZ guy who crashed over the side of a cliff shortly after the release? Maybe with more power he wouldn't of been trying to corner so hard. More power doesn't mean more accidents.

A friend of mine owned several fast exotic cars, and is an excellent driver on the race track. Of all the cars he owned, CGT was the only one that got away from him. Unfortunately, it was totalled. It is a hard car to tame.

**Site of accident is a known area for street drags.
***Blah-blah supposed rumor about vehicle not being able to be backed up, kept stalling, big guy and PW get into it to "see what it'll drive like".
Yeah, sad story but even PW said something to the effect of don't be sad for him because if he does die it'll be with a smile.
I felt worse about Steve Irwin's passing since I knew them.

^^^Yes.
There is no way that makes any sense, and in today's world, when the computers are off, more power definitely does mean more accidents.

Out of all of this...... This happened to be posted on facebook earlier by a friend of mine,
"I am so amused by all the shops/auto parts resellers, and self promoters out there trying to make money and gain popularity off of Paul Walkers death. It's sad that I live in a time where people need to take every angle they can take when it comes to marketing, even someones death. The meet that happened in Milpitas last night was such garbage and I knew the *** who threw it was just trying to promote his company, and that all came out in his thank you post the next day. I am glad I have not stooped to a level so low that I find it a necessity and an open door to try and market and prosper off someones death. There is so many other things that I have seen in the last 2 short days regarding this tragedy and peoples/companies greed that it is unbelievable, but it has helped me to clean up my Facebook pages and people I do business with."

I don't understand wtf you guys are talking about.
Everyone keeps talking crap about Paul's driving and how celebs can't drive. etc etc etc.
But everything I'm hearing is that Paul was NOT driving the car.
Bottom line. Anyone that met that dude knows he was a great dude. Wish people would just remember that and stop talking ****.

Ironically I guess, I happened to be watching an old Top Gear UK last night and one of the featured cars happened to be the Carrera GT. One very telling thing was they showed the Stig having problems with it on the track. They said it was a VERY unforgiving car and that a mistake likely meant it would get away from you.

Umm, Im not sure what the hell you're talking about Ray, but theres not one single post on this entire thread bashing Pauls driving or talking **** about him? And we all know he wasn't driving the car, they pretty much announce that right off the bat 2 days ago and no one on here ever implied that he was.
Whats this all about Ray?

Bah... good vibes. Doesn't really matter. They were both good guys. Paul was as nice as they come. They bolt loved fast cars. They both had tons of behind the wheel experience. No one was street racing.
They were more than likely doing what ALL of us have done from time to time... going out for a joy ride in a new toy.
