Official: SF Giants 2014 Season Thread!

That's really too bad. They've only played each other during the regular season since interleague play started in 1997. Prior to that, and when I was growing up (in Oakland) they only played each other if they reached the WS (which was epic, but ultimately a failure as a Giants fan). I went to as many, or more, A's games as Giants games growing up on that side of the bay. I love having a close second-favorite team to watch and pay attention to. Not only that, but ALL of my high school buddies are A's fans. No animosity, just great baseball.

For me, there is no 2nd team. And yeah, the geographic animosity has been there for YEARS, and its not only me and not only As fans.

I think that's all teams who are rivals. You can be friends during the days they don't play each other and before the games but when they are playing, we are no longer friends until the end of the game and let the sh*t talking begin.
