Time to put in Matt Slob for the rest of season and not give away the #1 pick.

What was the tie breaker? Their one win is divisional too.

JAX softer schedule. Means they are weaker than OAK for same amount of wins.

Number 1 you'd have to be stupid to not take Leonard Williams.

But at number 2 there's a viable QB that they don't need and some folks do... some folks named Tampa Bay, NY Giants, etc. Trade down and get more players. There are some dope players in this draft.

Jets/Jags/Titans/Bucks are all in the fight for number 1.

If Oakland gets it they could trade down to the number 4 slot and swap with the titans. Maybe pick up a 3rd down pick too. They could probably draft Ray or Stanley there. Or reach on Cooper depending on his combine.

Rams/Chiefs/Cowboys/Bears/Giants. Any of them could get you another really high pick combined with that 1st.

Players I'll be watching closely in this draft...
WR:
Strong. One of my favorites in the draft.
White. Might be the best WR available in the second round.
Devante Parker. If they trade out of the top pick he might be a guy to target lower in the second round and pick an O Lineman or DE with their First pick in the second.
Green-Beckham. This years Kelvin Benjamin. And he might sink in the draft because of having to sit.
Ty Montgomery. High value pick.

RB:
Oakland probably won't end up with Gordon or Gurley unless the trade land them smack in the middle of them being best on the board. So...

Coleman. Dude has that speed and break away cut back that McFadden has always teased us with but he's not afraid of contact. Reminds me of Murray or even A.P.

Oakland will probably draft Yeldon because they're dumb.

I'd rather see them look farther down in the draft at Buck Allen. He's another tall fast back but he's got killer hands and can block.

Davis... reminds me of MJD before the injury. Or a host of other short RBs in the NFL right now.

But I'd honestly like to see Allen end up in Oakland. Might just be my USC/Oakland fanboy though. LOL!

Few O-Line guys... they need to draft 2 of them.
Arie Kouandjio
Walker
Scherff
Peat

Some defensive guys.
Zach Hodges
Striker
Lyons/Richards/Carter from Stanford. All killer DB's.

Anthony Harris. Dude is EVERYWHERE.

Hau'oli Kikaha. Straight sack monster.

Gotsis.

Odd curious watch... Tyler Kroft. Mainly cause TE's have my attention right now and he's one that can catch and block. Looks like Vernon Davis at times. But he's a bit small. My guess is that he goes form 240 to 255 for the combine.

And Ty Long... because he's a kicker... and his name is Long.

I say draft the WR named Strong. The kicker named Long.

Raiders took Khalil Mack with the #5 Draft Pick this year (with talk of him potentially even getting all the way up to #1 before the Draft) so that could turn out to be a good spot for them again if that is where they end up drafting at.

Seriously!

It's not like having a top 10 pick has done anything for Oakland in the last 10 drafts anyway.

Drafting an impact player is nice, but giving the 49ers a shove back down the slide to mediocrity is nicer.

Mack is having a pretty solid year.
He's going to end up in the top 3 for defensive rookie of the year and if he keeps improving he'll be a starting impact player for a long long time.

He's playing on a bad defense and doing pretty good. He should end up with around 75 combined tackles. 1 Forced Fumble. A couple pass deflections.

Funny thing is... the two LB's that I had my eyes on going in to the draft are both having better years.

Barr will probably end up around 85 tackles. 5 or 6 sacks. 2 FF.
Mosley will be around 130 tackles. 2 sacks. 1 FF. 2 INTS.

But Mack was a solid pick. Honestly... this is one of the most impressive drafts I can remember in a long long time.

Barr/Mosley/Mack. All solid starting LBs with big time futures.
Odell Beckham looks like freaking Megatron out there. Kid's a moster.
Watkins is having a solid rookie year.
Kelvin Benjamin is everything I wanted to end up in Oakland. LOL!
Bridgewater isn't doing too bad for having no help. Had he stayed healthy all year he would have ended up with a pretty decent year.
Carr is looking legit. Surprised me. I was wrong on that one.
Cooks looks pretty solid. Was looking like a 75 catch year for him.
Bortles all things considered has looked pretty good.
Couple of the offensive lineman are already starters doing well. Bitonio is going to be a pro bowler most years.
Ha Ha is gonna end up with 90 tackles at the safety slot. Starter.
Shazier has looked killer when healthy.
Oliver had some good runs in SD. Especially for a dude that didn't get drafted.
Hyde hasn't had much of a chance but I think he'll be fine.
Mike Evans is looking legit now that he's figured out how to play in the NFL.
Even a couple good kickers.
Had Hill played the full season we might be talking about 1300 yards. He is one big game from 1000 as it is. He'll probably end up with 850. Not bad for a back up.
Blue is solid and so is Bishop. Blue is a bench warmer for the most part and will still put up over 500.
Aaron Donald who is one of the guys I was hoping Oakland would look at looks like legit as hell. 7 sacks and a big part of STL being pretty darned good.

Seriously... LOTS of starters. Impressive draft.

on topic though...
DJ has been injured to much to really evaluate. But when healthy... he's had a few pretty solid games. But I didn't like the pick when they made it. I was actually pissed off. But quite honestly... it was a pretty bad draft class. I wanted Star Lotulelei and that dude hasn't been good at at. Sharrif Floyd was another guy I was looking at and he hasn't been much better.

Funniest part is one of the picks they traded netted Bernard... bet Oakland wishes they snagged him. LOL! Le'Veon is another dude Oakland passed on for some damned reason. Ug.

2012 Oakland didn't have a first round pick.
2011 Oakland didn't have a first round pick.

2010 they drafted McClain. That was not a bad draft pick. The dude is very talented. He just wasn't ready for the NFL spot light and Oakland didn't have people in place to help him out. Dude was bonkers. Now.... now look at the dude. He's gonna end up close to 100 tackles this year and has really helped a bad defense be not as bad as they could be.

2009. DHB. I didn't like that pick either. I was hyped on B.J. Raji and Harvin that year. That was actually a pretty decent draft class and oakland got a strait wussy. Dude's got 3 catches this year. LOL!

2008. McFadden. I had high hopes for this pick. It looked like a reasonable pick. Was an odd draft class. The first round is pretty bad all around for everyone. Get to the second and you've got Forte. Jordy Nelson. Ray Rice but how would they be looking on that one now... Bennett... but he wouldn't be the same player he is had Oakland got him. My favorite pick in that draft... Garcon at like 205 or some crap. Hell... Forsett was a 7th rounder.

2007. Lets not go there.

2006. Huff wasn't the worst pick ever. They were dead set on a safety or DB and they picked a half way decent one. Draft was thin.

2005. Washington looked pretty good there for a minute and they got Routte in the second round.

2004. Gallery was a MASSIVE bust.

2003. Nnamdi Asomugha was one of the best corners in the NFL for a long time. Good pick.

2002. Phillip Buchanon looked pretty good for a minute there. And the other pick that year wasn't half bad either. 200 tackles his first two years. He just went sideways.

2001. Gibson was a decent safety.

2000. Jano... one of the best kickers in NFL history. (Think he was like a 17th pick though.) Holy ****... I just googled it. I was right. LOL!

Woodson was a top 10 pick. HOF player.

I got bored a typed a book. LOL! WOOOOSAH!
