Yea, A's had a chance. 7-4 has to be a close out by the bullpen. Or even 8-7.
Sucks they went down that way, but it's pretty incredible how KC built on playing small ball stacked the runs.

There was a reason Soto started the game at catch..... because Norris couldn't throw out the trash, yet alone throw out anyone stealing a base.
It was pretty eery to watch the game follow the same course as the A's season. What looked like an easy win completely unravelled.
Back to the bottom of the AL West standings again. It was clear before this game that it was NOT their time.

The point is Soto us very capable of throwing people out on base. I can't remember the last time Norris got anyone. I remember plenty if times where is throws went into center field though.

the pitching staff should be *ok* next year, Shark will probably stick around.
the infield is questionable, although Lowrie said he would love to stay in Oakland if the offer is competitive (lots of head room in the salary with money off the books).
question will be if Billy tries to off Donaldson due to him being (over)valued this offseason. Need a SS/2B for sure.
Coco.. would not suprise me if we saw his last games, he has been so injury prone I would not doubt him riding off into the sunset this offseason. Need Gentry to stay healthy and he should be CF. Need another OF as I bet Gomez will not be around/dont want him.
Please someone convince Donkey to stick around for another season as DH

Yea, a lot of weird things in that game. Some of the coaching too was questionable.
Why no Dunn? Coco goes out with the leg, Soto gets hurt. It was whacky, and had almost everything in it.
