Clifton Carter at Tattoo City does amazing Japanese work. He did my 1/2 sleeve on my right arm, and my wifes "leg sleeve/sock" (goes from her knee to her ankle) on her left leg.

Great stuff and super cool guy.

DAMN! You beat me to it! I was going to say "ASLAN!!!".

Nice tattoo none the less.

It's amazing how much less shading hurts than 9 needles filling in color, which was my tattoo and almost 9 hours of it! Vicodin for this last 4 hours FTW!!!

Oh, my wife has a weird ooooooold cross which a bunch of meaning on her back... some celtic thing... and behind her ear on her head she has a " -U- " to represent Croatia's old national Guard.

I don't dig her cross too much, but I love her behind the ear tattoo... Super sexy.

I'd post pics but she'd slaughter me.

I'm going in august.

Mike Davis is one of my favorite artists. His waiting list is full through August.

Justin and Henry are sick too. You can get in with them a bit sooner.

I'd HIGHLY advise going there if you like traditional work. SICK.

I'd also look up Klem over in Santa Cruz but he's booked for like a year and a a half. I'm putting a down to get on the list here in a couple weeks.

'State of Grace' is one of the best around the bay area for Japanese art

I'll have to check out these asian style places because I want a specific oriental dragon (one with 5 claws) on my right forearm.

Nice tats spicy.

Yeah, something about the oriental dragon I prefer over the more traditional european style.

yeah ive kinda decided to stick with the japanese art/asian theme for the rest of my tattoos, i only have one other on the top of my foot but its polynesian stuff, i definitly dont advise gettin one on ur foot...it hurt worse than the 6+ hours it took for my sleeve/shoulder piece.

But anyways...im trying to find sumone to help take some of my sketches and a few of there ideas and draw out the finish of the artwork i have...anyone know of any conventions coming to the bay area? i still need to experience one, but nobody ever wants to go or drive out there

Haha I'll be sure not to get one on the foot...mainly cause it's a girl's location for tats IMO.

I also have some very rough ideas, but need an actual artist to make them look good

Here's a list of events:
http://www.bodyartexpo.com/MAIN.PHP

Next one is in Aug. at the cow palace. Just check tat mags and usually they list expo's and events nationally.
