Niners shopping LaMichael James. Why draft LMJ that high, and then get rid of him without utilizing his playmaking ability? Waste of a 2nd rounder.
I understand the whole idea of the PowerRunning/West Coast Thing, but I thought having a versatile/speed/home run hitters was the best thing to have. A way to keep the offense with more packages so defenses have to defend more.
LMJ has so much potential, possibly the next Darren Sproles, not as crazy fast, but fast enough. IMO he'll get playing time on like 15 other clubs, sad to see the 49ers didn't use his afterburners on flat passes/screens/sweeps, so I hope he goes to another club that is similar...
I can see him thriving on the Eagles (although they're full now), Chiefs and any other team needing a back to make some plays on dump offs/screens.
Him on the Patriots would be scary. Belichick has pretty much all the offensive plays, whereas I see the 49ers definitely aiming toward the power run/playaction look. Niners could go the "Lamichael for Pryor" route, just because Pryor is an athlete himself, similar to Colin. Then the 49ers would have 3 young bucks at QB

Hell yea. Highlight of the night was getting put in a playful headlock by Ahmad after I told him my name was Kaepernick and Justin asking to take a few drags off my cig. Would've taken more pictures but they specifically asked not to take any with all the media bs around the team lately.

Holy ****!
All that's left for Raiders season tickets is non-black hole endzone and some visitor side.
That's amazing for no even being close to season start.
I had mulled it, and not too long. I can't even get the 3rd deck west side seats I'd have wanted. They look to be all gone.

Joe Montana, Dan Marino to play in Candlestick finale - NFL.com
"For posterity's sake, Hall of Fame quarterbacks Joe Montana and Dan Marino will square off one last time at Candlestick Park.
The San Francisco 49ers announced this week that Montana, 57, and Marino, 52, will headline a flag football game, scheduled for July 12, in a historic final game before the organization moves to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
Montana began his illustrious NFL career in 1979, eight years after the 49ers moved from colorful Kezar Stadium in Golden Gate Park to Candlestick. Among the greatest of Montana's many career highlights is a victory over young phenom Marino and his Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XIX.
This event offers a rematch of sorts for the two premier quarterbacks of the 1980s.
Each team will feature former all-stars.
Montana will be joined by fellow 49ers legends Jerry Rice, Roger Craig and Dwight Clark. Marino's team has yet to be announced.
Might we suggest 52-year-old marvel Herschel Walker as Marino's versatile backfield mate?"

Here’s a scouting report of Ward, courtesy of NFL.com:
"Intense, active and energetic. Zooms around the field and stands out on tape. Aggressive run supporter -- triggers quickly, flies downhill and chops down ball carriers. Breaks on throws and shows short-area burst to close. Has quick hands to ****** interceptions. Confident and energetic. Experienced and productive. Has a 38-inch vertical jump."
