Not intentionally.
Bring a Scion Xb and try to keep up with an STi that's running late to a checkpoint, and you might have problems...otherwise, this is all planned out AT or BELOW the legal speed limits for each road that makes up the CORRECT course.
Remember, however...YOU are the ones who choose the roads to take to get to the checkpoint.

All of the checkpoints are located on PAVED road surface. I hand you maps at the beginning, and tell you what road they're on, and which direction to come through the checkpoint. It's ALL UP TO YOU to decide what roads (fields, pastures, creeks, etc.) YOU want to take to get there. Most people feel they make the best choice by staying on paved roads, as they don't want the hassle of getting stuck somewhere.
