JDM ECU? or USDM ECU? I NEED HELP!

I already have the JDM ECU and wiring waiting. The 20k ill be running has one coil pack and plug wires. not COP

Yeah, but you likely can't SMOG on the JDM ECU. And the 02+ USDM ECU won't likely run your engine.

I'm thinking your engine could be very similar to the Legacy Turbo ECU from the 90s. You only need it to work for when you SMOG.

Ah. ok i gotchu. Deff cant smog on JDM ECU. not legitimately at least. lol But then the 90s ECU wouldnt be OBDII even if USDM

Yep. Im essentially getting the full swap for free (for labor performed). I guess you could say im picking up the EJ20K for the smog issue. swapping the actual motor and wiring is no problem. Passing smog is why i bumped this thread. There HAS to be an electrical/ECU guru that knows of a way. Im not planning to have 05 RS20K registered any time soon. So i have time to find a way thats reliable and effective. i touched the idea of running two different "electrical system" Meaning 205 ECU and wiring AND 20K wiring and ECU. use 205 for smog or what not. just an idea that came to mind.

The swap is possible if it was thrown into a 93-95 chassis since they were OBDI. But since you wanna put it into an 05, there's no chance on getting it BARd.

Ya, i figured a pre 96 chassis would be my saving grace. mehhhhh brain hurts! lol
