For the record, my pitbull has killed 3 racoons, I've never had issues with them. But from what my Terminix guy at my work says is you need to pee around your yard. They are territorial so if they smell the sent of someone or something else in there area, they'll most likely avoid the area. That's just what I've been told.

it kills them. their bodys shutdown.

now if your using a .22-using freeze plugs, aluminum tubing, slip on muzzle brake and bike tube rubber in the right ways is very effective. i shoot full power ammo and the action is louder than the shot.being a slipon also makes for a fast attach/detach.
PM if more info is needed.

I live up in Penn Valley (Penntucky) way north of Sacrameto. KILL THEM ALL! If anyone misses them I'll live trap a whole heard of them and replace them for you lol (fully aware of using heard in the wrong form). My Ridgeback (140 pound male) got f***ed up by a few of them about a year ago. When they adapt to dogs in the area they stop fleeing and start attacking.

I hunt for food and don't condone killing of anything just because. Raccoons are a whole different issue though. As much as it sucks, it needs to be done.

Get this stuff called "one bite" and mix it with peanut butter and dog food. It's a hardcore blood thinner that makes them bruise/bleed internally. Sounds horrible but they fall asleep then die. It's not torturous or inhumane. It's a necessary evil I guess.

BUMP - these guys are freaking nuts. Also, bonus if you have a shed or anything flat - they love to poop on it.

Laser pointers. Wicked Lasers brand. That's all I am saying.

just trap them yourself and then call animal control and tell them to come pick them up.

if you don't feel like it, the big carnivore pee/poop idea will work well too
