are there any other 3rd party that carries ddmtuning?

i was trying to get a package deal for the hid kits from them.

i know way back, i could talk to one person, but now it seems to be a system of people.. to which will not give any discounts or free shipping.

are there any other hid that are just as reliable that may have any retail associate to i-club i could contact?

thanks for the help !

This is not a technical forum so other than asking for local retailers, I think your post would be better served in a different forum.

Plus, 7K is annoying and Search is your friend.

Also I am fairly sure if you are changing to HIDs you need to change your reflectors as the bulb style is completely different than halogen.

Shoot this dude an email on the subject.

i don't think changing to 55w would make them any brighter. HID's are plenty bright to begin with.
I believe OEM subaru's run 35w ballasts, so increasing to 55w runs the risk of burning some wiring.
the difference is 4300K to 7000K bulbs is usually with the coloring.

+1 recommendation for theretrofitsource.com plenty of great products at reasonable prices and excellent information!

it is ok.

i have and still think that the oem hid on the sti is tooo dim.

Compared to many of the new cars that are retrofitted with new HID.. which i am not sure what they are..

that is all i want.

is for better visibility.

using the website people have provided.. sell kits that are ridiculously expensive 500+? and its like..

would it really make it 500$ more bright? or am i just getting quality?

for 500$ i could buy a lifetime of cheaper hids.. with each probably lasting pretty long till i even needed to swap.

but anyway. suggestions for brighter hids that are worth the cost? Keeping out the factor that i can blind people. Since the 2007 sti can adjust the lighting to point down

Thanks

Theres two sides to proficient lighting. There is your power source and light bulb that offers the potential luminosity available for output. Then there is your optics that sets the limit to how far that potential can exceed. A good light bulb and power source will not perform well if the optics in the projector housing will limit its performance. A well engineered projector housing cannot release its full potential if the light bulb and power source is not up to par.

For the most parts, there is a more general standard for performance when it comes to bulbs compared to housings. But since your is OEM, it does pass DOT and meets the performance expectations/requirements.

If you feel that it is safe, I would recommend running a higher wattage power ballast to ignite the bulb at a higher intensity and see if that helps with your throw.

Thanks! that actually make sense.

I have a question though, so are you suggesting.. in purchasing a 55w with a different bulb?

or are you just only saying a higher 55w with the same bulb would work?

any suggestions on a hid that isnt overly priced that will perform just as well?
( like an apple computer vs windows pc comparison)
