Quick question from a rollcage noob....Why are the tubes bent that lead downwards? Isn't everything supposed to be straight for strength? (again, forgive the noob question but I'm interested in caging my car at some point)

Well the only bent tubes on the car at this point is the main hoop, theres no possible way of making a hoop without bending tube. The main hoop needs to be +/-10* of 180*, this particular main hoop is I believe 182* of total bend. There will also be bent tubes that go from the main hoop towards the front A-pillar. Once im done there will be tubes that notch into those bends reinforcing those points. I have lots more to do

A triangle is the strongest geometric figure. Notice how all of the tubes are making a triangle. This thing is BEEFY. Great job Kelly

Rear section is done being fabbed/fitted. Except for the harness bar which will go in once the seats are in and placed where they need to be so the correct angle of the dangle on the harness is correct. Now time for welding and starting on the front section.
