FlatOutSuspension C57i-1 Coilover Review (For those that are not sure what they want)
Thought I would put my 2 cents out there for those looking for new suspension set ups. Everyone has been recently going with Feal 441, FA500/510s, or if you're going cheap probably Megan, BC, ISC, etc etc.
I'm trying out a new set up, Todd, owner of FlatOutSuspension has been building set ups since the late 90s for SCCA, RallyCross, etc. At first I was considering FA510s with Swift Springs or maybe the Dreadnoughts, or to be honest go higher end and get RCE Tarmacs etc etc.
As you all may know, yes, this suspension set up is MSRP 3K. Not something cheap but something in the comparable range is probably 4K+ which would include JRZs. He allows customization of spring rates and valves them according to your needs. A lot of other suspension set ups are off the shelf and are not to what your expectations are when it comes to performance. It's meant for the lay person that just wants coilovers.
This is the C57i-1, external reservoir, double adjustable set up that is inverted. These come with hyperco springs, I went with 12k/14k. Finally time to replace those Tein Circuit masters that Kenley installed when he was still young and did not care about how stiff the suspension was.
The suspension was well packaged, wrapped, reservoirs protected. Appearance is very clean, pretty, powdercoated etc.
I'm doing this on my own account, Todd did not ask me to, nor did Jason at SBGarage. I feel like there should be enough input for someone else to consider this new company. I will continue to update this thread so everyone has a chance to give their input and hopefully I can have an answer for it. If interested lemme know.
I will be installing these tonight, do a preliminary alignment, let the car settle and do a in depth alignment once were done with the 6 speed swap next week. Hoping to get corner balancing equipment soon in the shop, once that's here Todd's suggestion was to do so.

The car feels 100x better now. Although we ran into some issues where I had to add the tein helper springs to get it to the height that it should be without bottoming the adjustment **** on the axle.
Although the springs rates are almost double the Teins, the ride feels MUCH improved, car wants to turn in, it feels like the rear may kick but it nowhere is near the limit, AND IM FULL SOFT SETTINGS STILL.
Anyways... More to come. Alignment specs were -4.2ish front -3.1 rear.
