Cobb Accessport V3 Gauges and roof vinyl shop

This might not be the best place for this thread but I kind of did a search and couldn't find anything. I'm curious to know if the gauges on the AP V3 would work without marrying it. Or does it need to be married first before the gauges reads properly?

Second, unrelated question, is anyone have shop/person recommendations for redo-ing roof vinyl? I need the existing vinyl removed and then new one put on.

Okay. Just be sure to marry it and you'll have all the functions you need.

Thanks but that's besides the point. I wanted to know if it's possible to have the gauges functional without marrying.

5 min phone call to cobb could have sorted that out. So youd rather buy a accessport for the purpose of gauges even tho a used defi set could be had for the same price?
Things that make you go hmmmmm......

LOL, I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's somewhat part laziness to install gauges and part future proofing by having the AP to tune later. But I don't want to marry it just yet for warranty purposes.

Well if your warrenty doesnt run out anytime soon i would lean towards some real gauges. The only part Bout the install that sucks is the sensors. But if you have all the right stuff it could take as least as a couple of hours.
Good man not trying to cheat your warrenty tho!
