we have tried separating it by generation in the past. The problem we keep running into is we don't get enough of some of the generations to fill out a category.

Way to complicated. Turns in to a huge mess. And I can think of quite a few "older" subarus that do more than compete.

Look at it this way... Matt's car has won twice and quite frankly would have won again this year with the changes he had made. It's a 2007. So it was literally smashing cars that were 7 years newer last year.

Mike's L is a 96 and it's the fastest subaru in the world right now. A nice car is a nice car. A fast car is a fast car.

Ok Matt and I have made a decision. If we can come up with 4 cars per set of models we are more than happy to separate them.

So in other words to make it easy I'll explain with the GDs

4-Bugeyes
4-Blobeye/Peanut Eyes
4-Hawkeyes

With the amount of people that showed last year I don't think this should be an issue.

To add on. 08+ hatches and sedans are grouped together. No question about this and no arguing. Only the 07 and previous years will be considered into the wagon category.

Legacy Sedan and wagons will be grouped together.

If you want to show a brat, justy, svx, Baja etc etc please do so. A few of those would be nice to have show up.

I only participated in one car show my entire life and never took part in organizing any. So I would not be surprised if a seemingly simple thing is a royal pain in the ***.

I agree that Matt's and Mike's cars are awesome, but probably exceptions to the rule (and deserve their own categories in the perfect world) Mike is a shop owner and been in the industry for decades...I would hope his car would not be slow! And while Matt's car is awesome, $11ntybillion of baller catalog parts look just as awesome on any year car, but not everyone has that type of bankroll.

I was more thinking along the line of your average Joe with your average budget and minimizing inherent disadvantages/biases. But like I said, I am not a car show guy and might be dead wrong Still fun in the end regardless.
