Ug, casts SUCK! You cant take a proper shower cuz of it (need to put a garbage bag over the cast so it doesn't get wet), etc. I broke my arm 2 times and my wrist once... Had my arm casts on for 3 months, same withe the second time it happened... DUUUUDE, you have not smelled ANYTHING until you smell your cast once it comes off... Dude, you'll have a ton of dead skin caked onto your leg, your leg will lose weight (due to not using your muscle for months), and the smell of all that sweat combined with putrid dead skin is enough to bring an elephant down!

Where is your cast located? Is it blocking your knee from moving? How long did they say its going to take until it comes off?

Also, the best way to itch under your cast without f'ing up your leg and causing an infection is to use chop sticks! Not the cheap splintery kind, get a pair from like the dollar store, the ones that have a paint coating so it doesnt scrap you.

Sorry for painting a grim picture, but I thought I'd give you fair warning...

My cast covers my whole left leg from the hip to where my toes stick out. What sucks is that the itch is sometimes in the middle of the cast near my knee and I can't do anything about it. I don't think I want to smell my cast once it comes off haha. I know once it comes off I will go take a full shower and hella clean my leg once I get home. Having a cast is no fun.

Is your leg positioned staight? Bent?

If its bent your muscles get all tight and stay in that position so when you get it off you wont be able to walk because your leg will either bent or straight. Maybe crutches? Dont worry, only takes a couple days for it to go away.
