Bad Gas (The gas your car takes lol)
I'm just curious as to how often every other person in the bay area on this forum gets a bad tank of gas or what I think is bad tank of gas something else. I'm curious because I've noticed 2 out of 3 times I fill up my dam instantly drops below 1 within the day of the new fill up. Then once I fill it up again it goes back to 1 happier than ever. Yes I fill up at shell or whatever "high end" gas station never a "pete and Ernie gas stop" Lol. Maybe that's why gas is getting so cheap they're making it ****tier! Haha. I don't believe the tune would be bad as it is a snail tune and it doesn't ever have knock WOT (not even when the dam drops is there knock) just the usual false knock at idle rarely. So bad gas or something else?

I've had bad experiences with 76, now I only get chevron.
My DAM was down at .6 for a short time.. no bueno. plus I wouldn't worry about knock at idle.. cobb pretty much tells you to disregard that parameter since it's almost always false knock.

Yeah I don't pay attention to knock unless I'm going WOT. Its just weird though how it's getting worse yet I'm getting no knock under full throttle but I'll get knock correction of negative except when I'm cruising around or at idle it'll give me back timing. I'll try new spark plugs and cross my fingers.

I have had bad experiences only with shell. they have a quality control issue locally. 76 is the best around with chevron coming in 2nd. Stay away from shell, or get tuned on shell and then run only 76.
Try getting a bad batch of Ethonol. At least I know right away, but having to drive like a grandma for a whole tank of gas sucks.

Dynamic Advance Multiplier on your accessport represents the change in ignition timing in relation to historical detonation/knock as well as the default mapping value. The numerical value on the 2.5 reads between 0-1, while the 2.0 reads 0-16.
I'd highly suggest adding this parameter to your monitor list if you haven't already!

All I know is I've been getting horrible mileage recently on BOTH my cars, oil changes & maintenance are all up to date too.
Using 76 about 90% of the time and Shell when I have no other choice.
