any good ways to remove tree sap?

I just tried Goo gone and wd40, looks like its on there pretty good.. its been on there about a week .. bleh

happened to me once, what I used was rubbing alcohol and some warm water, and buffed it out, should come out pretty easily

You're right, I used rubbing alcohol from my work with warm water and it came off yes!!!! thanks!

goo gone worked for me.... let it sit and then rub it off..... alcohol is harsh on the clear coat.

Goo gone is just as bad for the clear coat AFAIK, since it has citric acid in it, but that's what it is designed for as opposed to rubbing alcohol. WD40 will actually peel your paint if you leave it on for too long - says that right on the can.

My dumb *** put the goof off spray when I was trying to take off the pin stripe down the sides of my car. Now I have swirls in the clear coat....

Sap or swirls? If you remove the majority of the sap first, yes, clay bar will help a lot. Swirls - no.

On a related note, it's great for plastics though. I used it to remove old salvage yard marker markings on tail lights
