Any Bay Area Audio/Videophiles? Mits CRTs on clearance!
Not sure if any of you care, but for Xbox/ PS lovers or videophiles out there, Mitsubishi is basically quitting the CRT Big Screen Projection TV business, going from 12 models in 2005 to only 3 CRT-based models in 2006. They're basically moving over to DLP units and other trendy less bulky models.
Unless you don't know, you'd have to spend 5 grand $$ or more on a plasma to equal the Picture Quality of these beasts!
Fry's is clearing out it's leftover 2005 inventory, and I've found that several stores still have ws-55815 diamond series for $900 (was $3500 a year or two ago), and other 48-55" models for around a grand. The diamond series (gloss black bling bling) model is my favorite, and I think Fremont, Palo Alto, and possibly the others still have floor models. They had a couple new ones at that price in Sacramento.
Anyway... thought I'd share the mitsubishi love............

Note "screen-savers" are intended to prevent burn-in on computer monitors.

Well, there's always DLP if you like to change light bulbs or LCD techologies if you like that blurry pixelated look . Pick your poison.
