My co-worker's friend was the one who set up that group buy. Went today to take a look and a test drive. 3 year lease for $4k which includes maintenance. Was pretty comfortable inside and got up to speed nicely with two people in the car. Add the HOV sticker and it's not a bad deal as a commuter car.

I tried like hell to make this work, but as a renter with no place to install a charging station it just doesn't work out.

Also, I was a little pissed that after I left voicemails and sent emails to 2 or 3 different dealers/salespeople I didn't get a single call back.

The car comes with a 110v charging cable and can charge the battery 50% overnight. I didn't ask about a 220v option.

The Fiat dealer in Newark did the group buy. They have ~30 coming in this weekend and many have been spoken for. My friend is going in after work tonight to sign the lease. Gonna talk to my wife and might get one too.

I would totally have jumped in on the group buy! I've been tinkering with the idea of buying an EV for a daily beater. Heavily leaning toward a lease right now.

Currently checking in with Capitol. If this is indeed real I may walk over and end up with one by the end of the week.

10k a year for 3 years, but you get 12 days of rental per year to cover long trips. The deal's not as good anymore though. My coworkers all got 110~130 a month, depending on the package. The guy with the $110 a month has the e-sport package and special color though lol he' negotiated a bit
