****ing instigator..
here is the pm i got.. i dont have the response anymore as i deleted it because it would have made them cry..
I wasn't talking about Shiv. He's never touched my car.
I highly disagree. As most tuners will. Call up ProDrive and see what they say.
I've seen and experienced their setup.
Please! My car has been on two different dynos on four different occassions. If you read my posts, you would have seen that I mentioned results both on a Mustang and on ATP's dyno. I was previously tuned on one of them and have watched a few tuners do their thing in different situations.
If you don't think road tuning is safer, why can Bill (I-Speed Bill) produce a wonderfully-driving road-tuned car but continues to blow up engines on a dyno and produce cars that ping and are underpowered? The guy is talented, but I wouldn't let him get within 10 feet of my car on a dyno. Tuning on a dyno is tougher and doesn't represent reality as well as reality does. If you knew how many Crawford blocks Bill blew up at ATP you would flip.

Road tuning will never get you what dyno tuning can do
Ask mike he spent a **** load on proper fans..
Until you get on a dyno and see how it works dont hate on it

prodrives us tuner = mike shields who i had a convo with on this very topic this last weekend at rim.
put it like this
im tired of your mental ****ing retardation, i typed up a response but it was to ****ing mean to post here as i didnt want to start another ****ing lame *** "teach the ****ing noobs about load bearing dynos and their use" thread.
So with that being said, you as well as your vaginal cheerleader ed just keep dropping as far as IQ goes in my eyes.
ROAD TUNING = What you do after a LOAD GENERATING DYNO TUNE TO VERIFY THAT YOUR TUNE IS PROPER UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS.
DYNO TUNE = WHAT YOU USE TO BUILD OUT A TUNE IN A MODERATLY CONTROLLED ENVIROMENT TO ELIMINATE AS MANY VARIABLES AS POSSIBLE (ie, grandmas, bus loads of kids, police, hills, wind gusts, rain, rocks, dirt, etc etcetc)
So as far as a proper tune it would go like this
Dyno tune to get a proper (98% finished tune), on a load bearing dyno with proper fans of course.
Then
Road logging and fixing or modifying of any issues that are found.
Not the other way around douche bag..
and bill blew motors up because he never seemed to figure out that atps dyno never generated a load on the vehicle, hence his afr's would look good on the dyno, then when it hit the street or a load generating dyno.. that **** ran hella wicked *** lean.. (hence the boom boom)
as for him blowing **** up on the dyno.. that is only a testament to well.. ispeed..
**** you god damn mother****er if i could see you right now i would kick you in your ****ing teeth for making me type all this **** out again..
(my first post was even meaner then this one)
ps my 02 wrx saw about 2200+ dyno runs on shivs dyno alone... (that of course was his own damn words and not mine, that is about a month of dyno time fyi..)
not to mention all the time i have spent at s2, atp, gruppes, vishnu etc etc etc.. i wont even count the time i have spent on the 2wd dynos at california street machines and other shops...
so here is a suggestion..
STFU
and stop acting like you and your ****ing blow hard know everything there is to know, you guys are ****ing n00bs at best when it comes to efi tuning, hell just about everyone i know (tuners, and shiv included) have a **** load more to learn about this topic.
You little ***s just prance around like ***got *** divas acting like ****ing know it alls. When it comes down to it you guys are just giving each other such good blow jobs that you cant tell man from women anymore..
And with that im ****ing done with you douche bags for a while..

Damn. Sorry you got so butt hurt about it.
I don't understand where we're conflicting here. I ceded to you that road tuning is a risk and I chose to take it. Obviously flooring your car on public roads is a risk no matter what. I'm in total agreement with you that it's dangerous, and I always was.
My comment was strictly from a tuning perspective. I said road tuning produces a better-tuned car. You don't disagree with this. If you did, you would not have said:
Your post agrees that road tuning is the more accurate way to tune a car, which it is. You agreed with what I said, and I agree with what you said.
I'm sorry you're so frustrated with your inability to express yourself meaningfully and with your lack of reading comprehension. You're arguing with me about things that I didn't argue with you about. It's a little insane.
I assure you I'm just slightly above n00b status at this point. You don't need to coach me on load bearing dynos, among most other things.
I think making this a post was wrong. You get all high and mighty about all of these things other people do that bother you, from driving fast on "public" roads to calling people out on the internet in what you felt were unethical ways, yet you do these things yourself. That was a private message I sent you. Those comments about Bill were not meant for public viewing. I have nothing but respect for Bill and I would have never made those statements--though true--in a public forum.
I feel sorry for you. Grow up, dude.

I'm off to the Thursday night meet.
You wont find any more posts in this thread from me. I really have nothing more to say, like I mentioned in the first PM I sent you. I didn't instigate anything, btw. In that PM I told you I was done arguing and I appreciated everything you had to say. I guess I have a hard time backing down also, but your response to that PM was mostly unfounded (Shiv, me never experiencing a dyno, etc)... so you got my response. Whoops... can of worms.
Anyway, I've got nothing against you Dre; as you may have noticed when I attempted to post that helpful Typhoon link in the thread where you were looking for/at one. Between the swearing and unfounded comments you seem like a smart-ish, potentially-cool dude. It would be nice if two people could have differing opinions without posts like the one you made above, but, after all, it is the internet
Chill dawg, chill.

omfg man you must be ****ing retarded...
its not more accurate... HOW CAN SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER BE MORE "ACCURATE"
every single time you make a run the conditions will be DRAMATICLY different..
that is not accuracy at all.. accuracy means you have CONTROL over something.. well it at least implies that you have control...
Now can you please do us all a favor and shut the **** up ..

SO LEAVE ME THE **** ALONE OR I WILL END YOU WITH A MISSLE ATTACK AT DAWN!

ps i guess your dre-dar isnt tuned yet.. most people round here have gotten used to me and my.. um..... unique means of.. um... communicating..
Some of it is show, while some of it is real..
You did irritate me as you didnt seem to comprhend (and at this point i dont think you will) what i was trying to explain to you..
So there is a point where a person figures out that the other person will not figure it out until they have more experience with the topic at hand.
Road tuning has its place.. but it is NOT the end all, nor is it BETTER then a proper dyno setup.
Is it better then a dynojet? (prob if you can do it safely)
(rem dynojets dont generate load, so basicly they blow dick sidewayz)
anyways im done here as well.. i have said my part 15 different ways and you still dont seem to get it..
DOES ANYONE ELSE AROUND HERE UNDERSTAND WTF I AM TALKING ABOUT?
