This is the Vishnu Signature series Exhaust with cat and it does not fit the STi. It has about 20k miles one it.
I have an STi now and that's why I'm selling it. My WRX was totalled, but the exhaust did get a scrach on it. I also have a non-flex uppipe that I'll throw in for an extra $50. I'd prefer local, I'm in San Jose, but I'm going up to sacramento next weekend if we can set something up that quick.
Prices:
Vishnu Signature Exhaust - sold
I also have a cusco front sway bar that I bought used and never installed:
Cusco front sway bar: $100.
Again all parts fit wrx only. If they fit the STi they would be on my STi right now.

Not to say that youre not telling the truth or anything, but the STi and WRX both use the same exhaust systems and the sway bar would fit on there too, so if you really wanted to, you could just keep them.

No this is the sig series that was made before the sti came out. And it turns out that with this design the cat doesn't clear the larger transmition of the STi. Vishnu modified the design so that it works for both, but this one only works for wrx 02 and up. The same thing happened with the front sway bar. Trust me if these fit the STi I would keep them, I'm loosing a lot of money at this price.
I'm actually looking for a front sway bar so if anyone with a WRX has a front sway that will fit the STI I'll do a trade pluse give you some money; the brand of your sway bar will govern how much money.

Bump for an awesome exhaust. I had to give up my sig too when I went from my 02 wagon to my STi. :(

Is this a full turbo back or just an axel back? Also, forgive my ignorance, but I was wondering if you could post up a few picks. I am local, but need more info before saying one way or the other.
You said it had a cat, does this mean it will still pass califiornia emisions tests?
Thanks for all the info.

It is full turbo back. And it does have a cat but I don't know if it will pass emissions, its not CARB legal anyway so I don't think passing emisions will matter. There are no turbo backs that are CARB legal, because your not allowed to replace the cat with no OEM one. (at least I've been told that)
Here are some pics I found off the forum. I can take pics if you really want, but the Exhaust Is tucked away and is a pain to get out. I would rather only have to bring it out once. (note: its only been in storage for a month, I just needed it out of the living room)

bump...for a great exhaust. I recently put one (also Sig series) on my wagon and it sounds fantastic-- but is NOT too loud. HUGE performance increase! (also have Helix UP and reflash and tune by Nate). Dyno'd @ S-Squared (a/k/a Subaru Specialists in SAC) 2 days ago at 206 wheel hp!
to JBravo920: why do you feel entitled to spout off about something you obviously know NOTHING about. If you had wanted to PM "vapo" to tell him he may have misstated something, fine, but to just make a stupid, inaccurate public statement just makes you look like a fool AND spread misinformation. I am amazed how much crap I read on this forum that is just absolutely wrong. I'm no expert, but I have almost 30 yrs experience working on cars and read a LOT and definately try to make sure I know what I'm talking about b4 I post something...

Wow thats awesome....206WHP!! Im sure my Ver 8 Spec C can't touch that....but then again I dont know anything according to your other post where you called me an idiot and stupid.

wow, dude you're SOOOOO cool. A real Ver 8 Spec C? That's gotta be like the only one in North America!
unfortunately, you still appear to be an "idiot and stupid" (although I think that what I really said was that you shouldn't try and impress us with your lack of knowledge/understanding and just implied that you were ignorant)**
please also note that the purpose of the post you quoted was to give kudos to Nate @ S-Squared (who did a great job tuning)- not to brag about my car. I have other, much faster and/or much more expensive cars to brag about if that was what I wanted to do.
** BTW- please forgive me if English isn't your native language, which would account for your inability to adequately express your vast depth of automotive knowledge.

Stop me if I'm wrong but there are two parts to getting smogged.
Part 1: emissions test. A good, catted, turbo-back exhaust should pass this just fine (as long as your car's fuel maps aren't too crazy)
Part 2: visual inspection. Any huge coffee-can exhausts will automatically raise the ire of a normal smog tech. If your exhaust looks something like stock (I had Vishnu twin-tip exhaust :)) it should get you past smog unless the inspector looks fairly carefully.
If you know someone who does smogs as well, that would definitely help. The emissions test computer can't lie, but if you have a buddy who can do a visual inspection and "accidentally" miss your non-stock cat then hey, why should the DMV care?
