Perrin

What are your opinions concerning parts for our Subies made by Perrin? Quality vs pricing, etc...

your Perrin product is perfect, because service after the sale is non-existent. I would never buy another Perrin product, period.

perrin stuff

you might want to get a snickers cuz you'll be here for a while with this one...

perrin intake- silicone runner did not fit so i had to cut it to get it on.

perrin down pipe- down pipe hanger location did not match up to the stock hanger point.

perrin rear sway bar/rear endlinks/front endlinks- perrin sent me two driver side hd mounts so i could not use them. the instructions also said that the stock hardware would fit but it did not so i had to go to home depot to get new stuff. they also sent me 19 mm bushings for a 22 mm sway bar. rear endlinks came with the wrong size spacers so i had to have them ground down to the correct size. for the front endlinks you have to drill the top holes for the hardware to fit.

other than that the products are great...haha...

moral of the story is go with pde, hotchkis, drop-in filters

and whatever you do, do not!!! order from vivid racing. that place is teh suck

I was thinking about the TMIC fm Perrin for the LGT. I wasnt going to get it fm Vivd but either fm Perrin or one of the forum vendors. A few people have had issues w/ the plastic endtanks on the stock i/c coming off @~16psi of boost. I figured i would just get a replacement now so that wouldnt be a concern int he future. I really have no drive to get a FMIC for now.

i have 2 perrin products- endlinks=noisy, the crank pulley.
i should have went with a different brand of endlinks... but it gets the job done.
as far as the crank pulley- - - you'd just have to drive my car.

Hmmmm,

I own Cusco, Zeal, TurboXS, APS, Speedware, GReddy, Bride, Takata, Apexi, TWR, Carbotech, Performance Friction, SSR, Advan, Zerosports, Exedy, Whiteline, Fujimoto, Walbro, and RSR. Formerly owned Godspeed, Tein, Blitz, Tanabe, and Perrin. Perrin is the ONLY one I will not buy from again. I haven't seen any company have so many complaints about a wide array of their products. But as I said before, their lack of service after the sale soured me. I'm used to dealing with companies like Tein, Shimano, and TWR, that stand behind their products 1000%. Steer clear IMHO, there are better companies with better products and far better customer service than Perrin.
