I have a 2001 2.5RS and ill be throwing borla headers and a stromung catback on it within a month or so....and i would like to replace the bolts on my car for the exhaust since theyre fairly rusty looking and im not sure if they would snap the heads off or what since the car came from back east...
I'm looking for the bolts that connect my headers to my cats and then my cats to my catback....anyone have any idea what size they are and all? i of course went to my local subaru dealer where i know a parts guy thats pretty friendly/helpful but the prices on some of those bolts they wanted are like 3-8$/ea! so fudge that lol :P

 

just go to your local hardware store. Chances are they won't have the exact same bolt made out of the same material, but they will have the same size in a different material. It won't be as strong as the stock bolts did (supposedly), but they will be plenty strong/rust resistant enough.

I did this, and everything is great.
