did anyone paint their console...would like to see some pics..
and what color would match blue ridge pearl..i was think about getting white!
thanks
I was thinking of this. I am getting a little sick of the carbon fiber and want somthing a little brighter. I used to have a picture of a rex with a blue dash and it looked pertty nice. It pulled the outside of the cat togher with the inside.

i think i remember people using just a brighter, shinier silver to re-do the interior. i love the look of polished aluminum. but then what happens when the sun hits it and blinds you while driving? :D
white might look good, just would need a very good paint job. a friend of mine did yellow in his rx-7 and the paint job was bad, so it looked real cheap

You could also do something creative, but may have to pay for it depending on your skill. A buddy of mine did a marble looking job on his Dakota R/T (He was a painter by trade) His truck was white with a blue bumblebee style stripe on it. The dash was dark grey. He got some semi-transparent maybe a little glittery blue color. From what I remember, he used wadded up newspaper dipping into the paint to create a marble looking design on the dash pieces. After that all dried, he put a, I guess clear coat over the dash to give it a glossier look. I know this description sounds like poo poo, I thought that when he told me about it, but in person, it was just plain sharp, amazing when the sunlight hit it.

Painted my center dash peices, around radio, cup holder, and around vents, aslo plastic trim on doors around the window and lock buttons. used paint that i found at home depot. looks pretty good. the color matches perfect. thinking about doing the center console next. total cost was about 20 bucks for some good paint and clear. and about 4 hours of removing sanding and painting. well worth it i think.. i will post pics as soon as i can
